Twenty-seven people were killed in a collision between two vehicles
According to Deputy Commander of the Two Enesse Enesse Woreda Police Office in Amhara State, a bus en route from Addis Ababa to Debre Tabor collided head-on with a bus traveling from Ginde Wine to Bahir Dar, killing 24 people.
Six people were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to Bahir Dar Referral Hospital, while 17 others suffered minor injuries, the commander said.
The deputy commander said also three people, including the driver, were killed when the Bajaj overturned.
The cause of the accident is being investigated, the commander said.
