Road safety is a major and fast-growing trend, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Each year, more than 1.35 million people die as a result of road crash and more than 100 million people are injured. About 90 percent of all road traffic accidents occur in low- and middle-income countries, and these numbers are increasing rapidly as traffic increases. We believe that investing in road safety will bring significant health, social, and economic benefits to communities.
